Additionally there are three operation theatres (O.T.) out of which two are modular theatres, all with laminar air flow system and a labour room. The laminar air flow system is essential to perform joint replacement surgeries, spine surgeries, eye surgeries & neurosurgeries.
The O.Ts are well equipped and have Image Intensifier ‘C’ Arm, anaesthesia workstations, Surgeon/ anaesthesia pendants with central vacuum (suction) air, gases. One operation theatre has L.E.D & Halogen lights. The benefits of L.E.D lighting is that it protects the soft tissues during surgery by not producing excess heat and hence avoids thermal neurosis of tissues & infection.
The Radiology Department has top end X-ray machines which has a floating (trauma) table. Besides giving superior quality images and less radiation, it makes things easy for trauma (fracture) patient while taking X-rays. This is connected to computerised digital systems.
